The Catskill Golf Resort, located on Brooks Lane in Catskill, New York, is now open to the public for the first time since 1928. We are under new management in 2014, and the facility will also have a newly renovated clubhouse. Enjoy one of the Hudson Valley’s most beautiful and challenging 18 hole golf courses for the first time! The original golf course layout, designed by James R. Thompson, was opened for play in 1927. This nine-hole design with alternating tees for front and back nines was unchanged until nine additional holes, designed by William Oettinger, were added in the late 1990’s. A formal opening of the full 18 hole layout occurred in 2000. The Resort now features four sets of tees, with total yardages ranging from 4842 to 6482, to accommodate all levels of play. Each year the Resort presents a Pro-Am event where golf professionals are teamed with local amateurs in an exciting better ball format. Several fundraising tournaments highlight a busy seasonal calendar. The Resort features Bistro 27, which can accommodate any post-golf respite, from libations to a casual lunch, dinner, or any formal occasion. There is a fully stocked Pro Shop and resident PGA Golf Professional to assist you with all your golfing needs. Details: Included: Greens fees, range balls. Cart fee is $20 per player. A note from Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation: Our FIRST annual national online auction is raising money for our kids golf programs. The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation supports Payne Stewart Golf Camps & Clinics. These unique programs provide a complete golf learning experience for kids ages 4-9 years old. Using unconventional spaces to bring golf to the masses, the camps and clinics make any gymnasium or soccer field a golf learning center to teach children the fundamentals of both golf and life. Payne Stewart Golf Experiences advance Payne’s vision by creating new golf spaces that give more families with kids the ability to learn and play golf. This is the first and only golf learning program to combine fun, games-based play with modified, age-appropriate golf equipment and faith-based life skills curriculum.
