Founded in 1928, the Sedgewood Club is nestled within 1,200 secluded acres of hilltop woodland in the lower Hudson Valley, just over an hour north of New York City. The club offers a scenic nine-hole golf course, two red clay tennis courts, a private spring-fed lake for swimming, canoeing and sailing, an Adirondack-style boathouse and a warm,relaxed social experience. Our historic nine-hole golf course was constructed 80 years ago, and the spectacular vistas and woodlands bordering the fairways and greens have remained as pristine as they were back then. The course is so private it feels as though it’s your own. Roughly half of our membership own homes within the Club grounds and half of our membership reside outside of the Club in Putnam County, Westchester County, New York City & beyond. A note from Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation: Our FIRST annual national online auction is raising money for our kids golf programs. The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation supports Payne Stewart Golf Camps & Clinics. These unique programs provide a complete golf learning experience for kids ages 4-9 years old. Using unconventional spaces to bring golf to the masses, the camps and clinics make any gymnasium or soccer field a golf learning center to teach children the fundamentals of both golf and life. Payne Stewart Golf Experiences advance Payne’s vision by creating new golf spaces that give more families with kids the ability to learn and play golf. This is the first and only golf learning program to combine fun, games-based play with modified, age-appropriate golf equipment and faith-based life skills curriculum.
